Honoring Sandy Ramsey and Gail Topolinski for More Than Five Years of Dedicated Service
At Administration of Resources and Choices (A.R.C.), we often talk about the importance of community. Behind every housing counseling appointment, every elder services referral, and every family that finds stability through our programs, there are dedicated individuals working to make that impact possible.
Today, we are proud to recognize two extraordinary volunteers whose commitment has helped strengthen our mission for more than five years: Sandy Ramsey, 84, and Gail Topolinski, 81.
While much of their work takes place behind the scenes, Sandy and Gail have played an essential role in supporting A.R.C.'s housing stability and elder services programs through accurate and reliable data entry. Their efforts help ensure that client records are maintained, services are tracked effectively, and staff can focus on delivering critical support to the individuals and families who depend on us.
Their contributions may not always be visible to the public, but their impact is felt throughout our organization and the communities we serve.
Finding Purpose Through Service
For Sandy Ramsey, volunteering at A.R.C. has been about staying engaged, using her skills, and making a meaningful difference.
Each week, Sandy helps manage and maintain important program data that supports daily operations and client services. Her dedication and attention to detail have become an invaluable part of the agency's success.
"I look forward to my Wednesdays because I get to help an organization that needs my skills!" says Sandy.
Before joining A.R.C., Sandy volunteered with another organization. When she decided it was time to find a place where volunteers were truly integrated into the team, she found a new home at A.R.C. Here, she discovered an environment where she could continue learning, remain connected to the community, and contribute in meaningful ways.
A Commitment to Inclusion and Impact
Like Sandy, Gail Topolinski came to A.R.C. seeking a volunteer experience where her contributions would be valued and where she could continue putting her skills to work.
For more than five years, Gail has provided consistent support through data entry and administrative assistance that help keep programs running efficiently and effectively.
"I volunteer to maintain my skills so that my brain keeps going; plus, I like the variety of assignments!" Gail shares.
One of the things Gail appreciates most about volunteering at A.R.C. is the opportunity to tackle a variety of projects while being part of a supportive team. Her positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to service make her an integral part of our volunteer family.
In fact, Gail and Sandy joined A.R.C. together, bringing with them a shared desire to serve an organization that values the experience, knowledge, and perspective that older adults bring to the workplace.
The Power of Experienced Volunteers
Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at A.R.C. They bring unique talents, diverse experiences, and a spirit of service that strengthens our ability to support homebuyers, homeowners, renters, and vulnerable elders throughout Southern Arizona.
The dedication demonstrated by Sandy and Gail highlights something important: community service doesn't have an age limit. Their continued engagement shows how older adults can make significant contributions while remaining active, connected, and purposeful.
As Executive Director Debbie Chandler explains:
